fated to pretend

as much as i hate doing schoolwork, going to my internship, working on the weekends, and not ever having a single day to do nothing, i know/hope all of this hard work will pay off in the near future. i actually look forward to being in NY for most of winter break, taking my online class, working and saving money, having time for the gym, turning 21, and being able to breathe a sigh of relief on that first day when i can sit down and not have a single thing to do but whatever i damn please.

This past semester made me realize how appreciative I am of my family and friends. I’d be lost if I didn’t have a supportive family. I love them all very much. It makes me so sad when people either don’t have a good family life, or when people are so blind to see how amazing family can be. My family never has a huge Thanksgiving get-together, the most we’ve ever been is probably 12. Today, it was just my family and my grandparents and I enjoyed it. Soberly, too.
